A Short VisitIn the country,
the scarcity of humanity,
our ability to stand outside and be alone,
holds an undeniable appeal to me.
Even in the cold, the quiet can be
a great friend. The sun was out today,
pleasant on the skin. The wind had subdued
from last night's blowing. I sat in my
great-grandfather's metal lawn chair.
He kept this one outside the barn.
Told me once how he found a meteorite
in the chair. Said it hit the barn
and bounced right down to sit a spell.
Said it gave him a little shock,
a space-spark he called it,
when he picked it up from its resting spot.
How old was he then?
My age? I only recall an aged,
bald, weathered, cowboy who still preferred
to do his business in the outhouse
instead of the indoor room with water
from pipes. He told me
he knew when I was being born
because his knees itched from where
I would sit and his hands stung
from where he would spank me.
He and Granny shared a small house,
blown by the horrid western Oklahoma wind,
on a hill that overlooked their pond
Description of a PoemThoughts on paper,
Emotions in ink.
Verse that shows
What the artist may think.
Not just words
That rhyme or not.
It's a writer's emotion,
Their deepest thought.
To write great poetry
So deep and true,
It must come from emotions
Deep inside of you.
What you feel is what you write.
It helps to let it all out.
It's the perfect outlet
For those who don't scream and shout.
Do not be afraid
To let the world know.
Say what you think,
And let your emotions go.
Fantastic Stock and Where to find it - Feature 9 Ive been making a collection of some of the brilliant stock artists works that I have come across. It started off as stock I cant provide myself so I look for other peoples so I can suggest them. The way I choose is quite odd, when I see a stock image I have an instant image in my head of what I could do or create out of that piece of stock. The image also has to be crystal clear and easily altered.
Anyway, Check them out, Im sure youll agree, just click on their deviation.

Famous Photographers: Dorothy Bohm"A World Observed..."
Dorothy Bohm was born in Konigsberg, East Prussia and has lived in England since 1939. She was recently elected an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and is considered one of the most respected women of British Photography. I stumbled across her work accidentally, as is often the case when you discover something great. I was astounded to find that the book I had discovered was the first major retrospective exhibition of her work - in book format. Her career began in the 1940s with A World Observed becoming the title of her soon to be famous collection of photographs.

Bohm has achieved quite simply, what many of us have tried and do strive to do through our Photography. Document an ever-changing and fast disappearing world. Bohm is said to be influenced by the art critic and th
